Anyone use this product??

Recommended Posts

never used it but have heard of people who have and it seems like the opinions go both ways, since it is so cheap you should get it, try it our and give us a review!

might have to do that this weekend.

Awake.

Try drying some out about the size of a quarter, and if it burnes after a day or so.If it does we could dry back it.

Thanks

well ladies and gents i did try this product today. i have not had the chance to dry some as 101matt asked.

Today's weather was spitting snow with no ground accumulation. Temps in the low thirties. wind 15-20mph.

I used an established fire pit. First was a dry twig. I put about a quarter size amount on the twig and lit the stuff with a wooden kitchen match. Lites instantly. A little smokey. lasted 3 minutes without any help.

Next was a green twig. same results. the twig had started to burn and the sap was boiling out the ends.

Last was a wet twig that had been on the ground and rather wet but not water logged. The paste burnt fine but i used half a tube before i could tell the wood was drying in the spot the paste was and staring to burn itself.

So with that said i believe this stuff would be worth your time to add to your fire kit.It is less than six bucks. Sure beats the heck out of being wet and cold when things have gone bad.

a little training on your part with the kids and yes this could be a great tool. I would advise a zip lock type bag to carry it in. the tube seems to leak if creased or pinched hard.

The market is full of miracle product, that will solved oll our problems,I call does products the rainmakers.like the flinflam man of the west.

the old cotton ball with a little vaseline, waterproff match kit has work for generations

the fine steel wool and 9 volt battery trick, never fails,a small piece of fiberglass wick soack

with fluid,is agreat fire starter,my favor is a box of new tampoms soak in fluid or you open them up and fill them with magnesium shavings them tight them with string and you will have a hot tampom in your hands

ps.my favor is a piece of fiberglass wick soak in lighter fluid. ;)

Go to the hardware store and get a tube of wood filler. It will do the same thing. Base is wood fibers and glue. You can also use the canned wood filler.

I do not recommend breathing the fumes.
