Has anyone ever watched it? I've not seen season 1, but I watched season 2 and the wife and I loved it. They've finished casting for season 3, but thats all the info I can find about season 3. It's been almost 2 years since season 2 was out. I like the show. They come up with some neat ideas and it's about as real as it's going to get besides the real thing.

I watched a few episodes when this first came out and I didn't really care for it, can't tell you exactly why but it just didn't sit well with me even though there were some good ideas and things going on.

Season 2 is supposedly a LOT better. I never saw season 1, but season 2 had more normal people in it as far as their background.

I thought this was going to be the show to watch, hands down. But as it went on I got the feeling that it was just too fake and put on to accurately depict what things would really be like in those situations. Other than that, I think it woke some perple up to what they might be facing if they want to survive those scenarios.

honestly, i think this show gives off some great ideas, but some lame stuff too.

i think it shows how it can be to have to go hungry. how to spread out your food supply to make it last as examples. i think it shows how well you need to really cover an area well to find use for the things you find. there are a lot of hints and ideas on this show if you watch it with the right mind set. IF.

That show was terrible. In a real TEOTWAWKI situation they'd all be dead. Lets face it the world is already filled with a-holes who want your stuff, imagine what happens when they really need it? No protection, sleeping on watch, letting people forage by themselves with no overwatch... It made me too angry to keep watching. To much focus on trying to restore things they were familiar with.. power for one and not really surviving. /rant mode over.

It was a perfect example of what the general public is going to do when TSHTF. Most don't have a game plan and even some that do will be too distraught to follow it. People will band together with friends and family and it will be just as diverse as the show.

In my opinion that show doesn't do anyone much good for learning how to truely survive a disaster. The subjects are provided with certain materials on location. They still have to make something out of it, but they are guided and manipulated.

That show really just illustrates group dynamics. But even this isn't a good example as the subjects know they aren't in a true survival situation. THe psychology isn't there to accurately monitor group dynamics in a disaster.

At the end of the day, you really haven't learned anything after watching.

If this is the one I think it is, I really disliked it. Making a 'spy in the sky' .... really? that's a concern in the immediate aftermath of TSHTF? They were safe ONLY because the MZBs played by rules. Too few people guarding too much real estate. An interesting mix of skills and the raw materials exactly matched the available skills. Fascinating. To my mind, all this proved was that depending on luck was a really, really lousy Plan A.

the one thing that really bothered me about this show was the "group" come on now, what is going to be the chances of your group having a dr. or nurse, an electrical engineer, master carpenter, solar power expert, spec.ops military guy, etc. !! what a load of crap! why not just jerk ten people off the street and drop them in that situation! now folks, THAT WOULD BE A SHOW WORTH WATCHING!!!!!

They did that with season 2...it was more of a reality show than anything. I liked season 1 because they had all those people. I know it's not realistic to find that kind of a group but we did learn from what they managed to put together. I gave us ideas to explore further like the ozone machine or the gasifier. Season 2 was just a soap opera

    • Hey all, This is sort of cool (okay really cool) and maybe some of you have heard about it because it's been plastered over FOX and mentioned by POTUS as well as other conservative-leaning news people (Huckabee, Diamond/Silk, Candace Owens, Mark Levin, etc..) and politicians. #walkaway is a movement based mostly on social media. Started last year, by Brandon Straka (pronounced Strawk - like "straw" with a "k"). He's a former 2016 HRC-voting hair stylist, from NE, now in NYC, homosexual, liberal who began to question the MSM and what he was hearing. He got really frustrated as he began to do his own research. Anyway, after having his own awakening to the lies of MSM he had been following, he began an online testimonial campaign in which former liberals can post their #walkaway stories, written or video. Many are now on the "Trump Train." Many have simply left the Left. Still, others have always been non-Left and are members in support. The amazing thing is how many different people from all walks of life are beginning to wake up. Lots are not conservative on all issues, but all have a love for the USA and dislike the demonization of open political and social thinkers and speakers. This group gives solace to people scared to voice their conservative opinions or views for fear of negative professional or personal responses. It now has budding smaller groups in all 50 states and an online discussion group where people discuss current topics or issues (WITH no vitriol, gasp).  Here's the original video from Brandon.  www.youtube.com/watch?v=51UGcghHZsk This man, Brandon has a unique, stylish, well-articulated voice to help move people "in hiding" out into the open and not be silenced. Pretty much any video Brandon does is great. Here is the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/groups/OFFICIALwalkawaycampaign/ As I see fights erupt online, I simply leave #walkaway in the comments. Brandon has a goal of 1 million members! The liberal media has called this campaign "Russian Bots" and "paid actors." It's not!!!
    • thanks to all who  have served or are serving our great country....243 years in the making....   Trump did a good job today thanking each branch of our military and a long time coming salute to the coast guard too....
    • I can imagine food prices going up this Fall or Winter. Corn is used for live stock feed, & us humans consume a lot of corn based products, as well as corn based biofuel. I’ve been keeping a watchful eye on the mid-west of America, which is flooded by water. Where corn  & other crops are normally grown there. Farmers are quite worried about this years growing season. Time to stock up on extra food if you can, if you haven’t already. Stack it high, stack it deep. Store the foods that you normally eat. What ever the  amount of food you’ve stored,  try to double it if possible. Better extra safe, than sorry.
