I'm assuming I don't get to choose biological warfare items like a virus which insta-kills only zombies, so...

Here's the honest to God Truth: my weapon of choice is my mind. It's (usually) the most powerful thing I have.

But, if I gotta pick some armaments, here we go!

This would be my standard load-out for when on the move. I also have a Ruger 10/22 with a 3-10x scope I'd bring (cheap and light ammo and it can kill small animals for hunting) and a 30-06 with a 4-12x scope for the big hunting.

Primary:

My Smith and Wesson M&P15 5.56mm

Secondary:

Taurus 24/7 Pro Gen II .40 pistol

Blade:

Gerber LMF II

@Canteen, I love my Daisho (have had them for 3 years now), but they aren't practical for an EDC in today's day or post SHTF. They're awesome, but not realistically practical. They made a lot more sense back when guns weren't an issue, but not in today's society.

Ok, so I will bite (a couple times... ;)). First, I have no idea what shituation we are talking about, so I will list my top three for two scenarios. First scenario is just a simple run of the mill really big SHTF, where law and order has melted away, leaving mad max and his erstwhile foes to do glorious battle in the thunder dome. Long arm: AR-15 w/ RCO Pistol: Sawed off two piper Blade: Kabar Tanto.

For dealing with the living dead, long arm: AR-15 w/ RCO Pistol: Springfield XD 9M, Blade: Rock hammer.

Why? i like the AR-15/M-16 series (if you couldn't tell ;)), so it is my go to in all situations. The sawed off two piper instills fear and respect amongst thine enemies, so people should theoretically be less inclined to mess with you, and I love my Tanto. Now, with Zombies, since head shots are the only way to do business, AR because its accurate, and rounds are light, and travel far. The XD9M because it has a 20 round capacity (though this could be replaced by the Keltec pistol that shoots .22mag), and the rock hammer because it would be infinitely useful and can still punch a skull in a pinch.

Primary: the drilling machine from total recall

Secondary: Mark 19 belt fed grenade launcher mounted on the drilling machine

Blade: I guess an SKS (those have blades on them right?):P

I don't really think anyone can beat Autonomous's answer, thats pretty sweet! My primary would be a rail gun from the movie Eraser because it can see through walls and and energy weapons are bad ass. My secondary would be the 240 Bravo general purpose maching gun, mounted side by side of the rail gun and my blade of choice would be metal playing cards that are like throwing stars....cause after the dead are dead you count the bodies and see if you have a full house.

Glock 9mm

S&W MP15 AR Rifle

Folding blade knife.

I like the glock b/c it can be concealed. AR probably has more function, power, utility, etc.... but realisticaly we are not going to war. Just being prepared.

That is one hell of a line up meddle

Yep, But if I had to hit the woods right now I keep the two knifes in the BOB along with the ruger 10/22, and the Colt 45 on my side. The 25 stays in the GHB. If I had to hump it all day I don't want to carry 1000 rounds of 223. I can protect myself with a 22 just as easy. You here people talking about stopping power all the time. I been shot three times and believe me if I hear a 22 I stop. Make a ruger full auto is as easy as pie and you unload 30 rounds in about 4 seconds and people are stopping and not setting their thinking about what kind of gun it is. And on top of all that Ever seen a squirrel killed with a 223? Not much left to eat

Meddle thank you for saying that about 22s. I have thought that for a long time when people always discuss stopping power. To me, stopping power comes into play at long ranges and in the case of SHTF if someone is a threat at a long range I should be able to go around or not engage. If you are talking anywhere under 100 yards, a 22 in any vital area or the head will be good enough. Anything past that distance and there are too many variables that effect the shot and I don't want to take chances in an event. At 100 yards I can put most things down or at least cause enough damage to something that the engagment will be detoured.

Full auto 10/22? I need to do that to mine.

    • Hey all, This is sort of cool (okay really cool) and maybe some of you have heard about it because it's been plastered over FOX and mentioned by POTUS as well as other conservative-leaning news people (Huckabee, Diamond/Silk, Candace Owens, Mark Levin, etc..) and politicians. #walkaway is a movement based mostly on social media. Started last year, by Brandon Straka (pronounced Strawk - like "straw" with a "k"). He's a former 2016 HRC-voting hair stylist, from NE, now in NYC, homosexual, liberal who began to question the MSM and what he was hearing. He got really frustrated as he began to do his own research. Anyway, after having his own awakening to the lies of MSM he had been following, he began an online testimonial campaign in which former liberals can post their #walkaway stories, written or video. Many are now on the "Trump Train." Many have simply left the Left. Still, others have always been non-Left and are members in support. The amazing thing is how many different people from all walks of life are beginning to wake up. Lots are not conservative on all issues, but all have a love for the USA and dislike the demonization of open political and social thinkers and speakers. This group gives solace to people scared to voice their conservative opinions or views for fear of negative professional or personal responses. It now has budding smaller groups in all 50 states and an online discussion group where people discuss current topics or issues (WITH no vitriol, gasp).  Here's the original video from Brandon.  www.youtube.com/watch?v=51UGcghHZsk This man, Brandon has a unique, stylish, well-articulated voice to help move people "in hiding" out into the open and not be silenced. Pretty much any video Brandon does is great. Here is the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/groups/OFFICIALwalkawaycampaign/ As I see fights erupt online, I simply leave #walkaway in the comments. Brandon has a goal of 1 million members! The liberal media has called this campaign "Russian Bots" and "paid actors." It's not!!!
    • thanks to all who  have served or are serving our great country....243 years in the making....   Trump did a good job today thanking each branch of our military and a long time coming salute to the coast guard too....
    • I can imagine food prices going up this Fall or Winter. Corn is used for live stock feed, & us humans consume a lot of corn based products, as well as corn based biofuel. I’ve been keeping a watchful eye on the mid-west of America, which is flooded by water. Where corn  & other crops are normally grown there. Farmers are quite worried about this years growing season. Time to stock up on extra food if you can, if you haven’t already. Stack it high, stack it deep. Store the foods that you normally eat. What ever the  amount of food you’ve stored,  try to double it if possible. Better extra safe, than sorry.
