Benghazi breaskdown

AMERICAN VALOR BENGHAZI:

The stunning part of this story is that Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty killed 60 of the attacking force. Once the compound was overrun, the attackers were incensed to discover that just two men had inflicted so much death and destruction.

The news has been full of the attacks on our embassies throughout the Muslim world, and in particular, the deaths of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others in Benghazi, Libya.

However, apart from the shameful amount of disinformation willingly distributed by the Lame Stream Media and the current administration, there’s a little known story of incredible bravery, heroics, and courage that should be the top story of every news agency across the fruited plain.

So what actually happened at the U.S. embassy in Libya? We are learning more about this every day. Ambassador Stevens and Foreign Service officer Sean Smith, along with administrative staff, were working out of temporary quarters due to the fact that in the spring of 2011 during the so-called Arab Spring, the United States cut ties with then president Moammar Gadhafi. Our embassy was looted and ransacked, causing it to be unusable. It is still in a state of disrepair.

Security for embassies and their personnel is to be provided by the host nation. Since Libya has gone through a civil war of sorts in the past 18 months, the current government is very unstable, and therefore, unreliable

A well-organized attack by radical Muslims was planned specifically targeting the temporary U.S. embassy building. The Libyan security force that was in place to protect our people deserted their post, or joined the attacking force. Either way, our people were in a real fix. And it should be noted that Ambassador Stevens had mentioned on more than one occasion to Secretary of State, “Hillary Clinton”, that he was quite concerned for his personal safety and the welfare of his people. It is thought that Ambassador Stevens was on a “hit list.”

A short distance from the American compound, two Americans were sleeping. They were in Libya as independent contractors working an assignment totally unrelated to our embassy. They also happened to be former Navy Seal’s.

When they heard the noise coming from the attack on our embassy, as you would expect from highly trained warriors, they ran to the fight. Apparently, they had no weapons, but seeing the Libyan guards dropping their guns in their haste in fleeing the scene, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty snatched up several of these discarded weapons and prepared to defend the American compound.

Not knowing exactly what was taking place, the two Seal’s set up a defensive perimeter. Unfortunately Ambassador Stevens was already gravely injured, and Foreign Service officer, Sean Smith, was dead. However, due to their quick action and suppressive fire, twenty administrative personnel in the embassy were able to escape to safety. Eventually, these two courageous men were overwhelmed by the sheer numbers brought against them, an enemy force numbering between 100 to 200 attackers which came in two waves. But the stunning part of the story is that Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty killed 60 of the attacking force. Once the compound was overrun, the attackers were incensed to discover that just two men had inflicted so much death and destruction.

As it became apparent to these selfless heroes, they were definitely going to lose their lives unless some reinforcements showed up in a hurry. As we know now, that was not to be. I’m fairly certain they knew they were going to die in this gun fight, but not before they took a whole lot of bad guys with them!

Consider these tenets of the Navy SEAL Code:

1) Loyalty to Country, Team and Teammate,

2) Serve with Honor and Integrity On and Off the Battlefield,

3) Ready to Lead, Ready to Follow, Never Quit,

4) Take responsibility for your actions and the actions of your teammates,

5) Excel as Warriors through Discipline and Innovation, 6) Train for War, Fight to Win, Defeat our Nation’s Enemies, and...

7) Earn your Trident every day

Thank you, Tyrone and Glen. To the very last breath, you both lived up to the SEAL Code. You served all of us well. You were courageous in the face of certain death.

And Tyrone, even though you never got to hold your newborn son, he will grow up knowing the character and quality of his father, a man among men who sacrificed himself defending others.

I got so disgusted listening to Clinton whine ..... Our people on the ground did their part and our poor excuse for leadership let them down. But that's OK guess who gets to retire and draw our money.....not the brave people who gave all because that was what needed to be done. Until We the People get off our collective a#@ and start making changes we should not expect any better. H$5% if they can sue for not telling football players that they could get hurt .... we should be able to sue the State Dept. for negligent death of our people. After all, they are the ones who put them in harms way.

This story boils my blood every time I hear about the way that those who were responsible for the safety of these AMERICAN SERVICE MEN, failed them, not just in their moment of greatest need, but in every moment lead up to it, even if they didn't realize the danger that existed, even if they never saw the pleas for better protection or the warnings about the situation going south, if they would allow those in the area any faith to act, and ROE were set to protect America, her people and assets above all else, than this wouldnt necessarily ended with less American loses but I for one would feel a lot better about the sacrifices made that day, if one person in the state department could say honestly that they tried to help, that they are sorry that they failed those men, that at the first second they heard of this they did one single f'n thing but start trying to CYOA then I would know how to explain this to my sons in a way that I can reconcile with the ideals I try to teach them guide our country, it gets harder and harder everyday to convince my sons ( and myself) of the continued greatness of the American people as fewer and fewer everyday even care.

Great comments all and thanks for sharing JCMS. This is what we ALL can expect from the spineless twits in fed positions of "leadership". They do NOT care how many are murdered nor how many firearms/supplies have to be sold or given away illegally, as long as they get to push their agenda, which is 99.9% of the time not what's good for America or the People.

I agree Don. How much are they supporting al qeada in syria? ASSad needs to go but do we want to place another economy and populace under terrorist control? The populace doesn't want the terrorists in charge either but they will side with them to remove ASSad and then we will have another huge group that feels loyalty to them, much like our welfare leeches look to the national socialists as their "saviors" since they give them what their lazy selves desire, a free ride.

egypt and libya should be prime examples of why we shouldn't be supporting these torrorists in any way, shape or form. I could have sworn we were in a "declared" war on terror but yet the officials keep supporting them, no different than the rockefeller family (among others) and standard oil supported the national socialists we fought during WW2.

The fed steals from our checks to support the very ones they send our kids to fight.... makes sense to me.

yep me too but the crazy thing is many surveys say she would get elected if she ran for any position and that is

a telling, to me it shows that a great number are clueless and even worse no one on the left will defame her

they stick together no matter what.

The death of 4 Americans is of no consequence even though we have enough information to show the state department

knew what was happening, it amazes me how Michelle obummer can wear a dress from a primo designer and the whole

world knows about it the next morning.

Wikileaks knows more about the world at large than our government officials

that are paid well to know with many perks and A1 retirement.

I would advise all americans to get out of Africa and the middle east ASAP if the state department does not care about their own

and Mali situation was a surprise it is only a matter of time before mass killings of Americans contractors.

this thing is going global and it is only going to get much worse IMHO.

Thanks for posting this, Snake.

Didn't you just "love" Hillary when she said "What difference does it make?" For sure one comment I will NEVER forget and NEVER forgive.

Femvet, wasn't that the same line they used about monica as well?
