A few of my recent knife builds

Recommended Posts

Here’s the last one I will post today. This blade was made in the good old USA by Three Finger Knife, LLC. It is a sharp Damascus blade and is a good size to be a work knife. To give the blade a special look to it, I used mosaic pins and between the blade and the wood I used a decorative three color spacer. It has a white stripe sandwiched between two red spacers. I like the look so much that most of my blades will not have some sort of spacer in them.

Some people don’t want to use the knives I make them because they are too ‘pretty’. But what good is owning a knife that you refuse to use? And like I tell them, I can always make another one as a replacement.

Here is my most recent knife. This sucker is big! At just over 17 inches long and weighed to be front heavy, I think this can mow down some weeds. I hope to use this as a barter item with Leeheim. If he doesn’t want it, it’ll be open on a ‘first come - first serve) basis. Remember, I am VERY willing to barter knives for items. Tinder and I have bartered a few times. Jerry and I have to (but I think I got the better of the deal because he gave me some awesome wood with which to make knife handles). Ask if you want to barter. The worst that can happen is we can’t agree to a trade!

So, what do you think Leeheim? Can we work a deal?

Leeheim, you better do the deal, or someone else might!

Tinder my friend, you know that I don’t temp you. I simply put the pictures up on the site. The rest is up to you!

Did you see what I did with the skinner and the machete you sent? If not, I’ll post them again. That skinner came out awesome. I haven’t even put it up for sale because it is one of my favorite blades! The way I cut the finger grooves into the handles force the knife into the absolutely best position possible and it cannot slip in your hand. That is a sweet little knife. If I hunt this year, that will see the inside of a deer. Where did you get it? I might buy more and I would have to send you one as a “finder’s free”.

By the way, I have made it a goal to come up with one good idea for your paracord work. I am trying to figure out where it is need yet no one has thought of it yet. I’ll come up with something… promise!

Here is my newest skinner that I finished last night. The knife is 7.25 inches long and has a blade length of 3 inches. The blade is made with 440c steel so it should keep its edge well. The wood is not dyed but is stabilized with an acrylic resin to improve its toughness and bring out the wood grain. I installed a three color spacer between the steel and the wood and used a mosaic pin to add to its character (look closely and you’ll see the pin is filled with copper rods and black epoxy.

Just finished this little Tracker style knife. It has a nice Damascus blade and is small enough to easily pack in any bag or even on your side.

Here is my most recent build. I used dyed and stabilized Box Elder Burl for the handles. The blade was made with 440c steel with a hardness of RC-57. There is a hole for a lanyard if desired. I wanted my pictures to have a little more character so I included the revolver. The knife is for sale. The revolver is not.

    • Hey all, This is sort of cool (okay really cool) and maybe some of you have heard about it because it's been plastered over FOX and mentioned by POTUS as well as other conservative-leaning news people (Huckabee, Diamond/Silk, Candace Owens, Mark Levin, etc..) and politicians. #walkaway is a movement based mostly on social media. Started last year, by Brandon Straka (pronounced Strawk - like "straw" with a "k"). He's a former 2016 HRC-voting hair stylist, from NE, now in NYC, homosexual, liberal who began to question the MSM and what he was hearing. He got really frustrated as he began to do his own research. Anyway, after having his own awakening to the lies of MSM he had been following, he began an online testimonial campaign in which former liberals can post their #walkaway stories, written or video. Many are now on the "Trump Train." Many have simply left the Left. Still, others have always been non-Left and are members in support. The amazing thing is how many different people from all walks of life are beginning to wake up. Lots are not conservative on all issues, but all have a love for the USA and dislike the demonization of open political and social thinkers and speakers. This group gives solace to people scared to voice their conservative opinions or views for fear of negative professional or personal responses. It now has budding smaller groups in all 50 states and an online discussion group where people discuss current topics or issues (WITH no vitriol, gasp).  Here's the original video from Brandon.  www.youtube.com/watch?v=51UGcghHZsk This man, Brandon has a unique, stylish, well-articulated voice to help move people "in hiding" out into the open and not be silenced. Pretty much any video Brandon does is great. Here is the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/groups/OFFICIALwalkawaycampaign/ As I see fights erupt online, I simply leave #walkaway in the comments. Brandon has a goal of 1 million members! The liberal media has called this campaign "Russian Bots" and "paid actors." It's not!!!
    • thanks to all who  have served or are serving our great country....243 years in the making....   Trump did a good job today thanking each branch of our military and a long time coming salute to the coast guard too....
    • I can imagine food prices going up this Fall or Winter. Corn is used for live stock feed, & us humans consume a lot of corn based products, as well as corn based biofuel. I’ve been keeping a watchful eye on the mid-west of America, which is flooded by water. Where corn  & other crops are normally grown there. Farmers are quite worried about this years growing season. Time to stock up on extra food if you can, if you haven’t already. Stack it high, stack it deep. Store the foods that you normally eat. What ever the  amount of food you’ve stored,  try to double it if possible. Better extra safe, than sorry.
