Hurricane Isaac

Recommended Posts

Wish me luck fellers! Latest tracks show Isaac turning towards us and rolling right up the runway at Mobile Downtown Airport! I guess I'm gonna have to move all the lawn stuff after all. Luckily, we've got lots of supplies. Little more gas in the generator and maybe another extension cord. This is gonna be interesting.

Been watching the weather chanel. Jim Cantore is going to New Orleans. He's pretty much the angel of death when it comes to hurricanes. If you see Jim, RUN the other way!

Good news though... They were guessing cat 2 as it made landfall... Now down to cat 1.

Bad news... Thinking 18 inches of raing for the panhandle area of Florida and it's already saturated.

No drought down this way!

The mayor already had a press conference saying that the dome and the airport would NOT be used as shelters. Sounded like He pretty much told them to get out or they were going to be responsible for themselves. Already declared a state of emergency though activated the Guard.

I knew it LMAO they trashed the dome raped and beat people to death there and the toilets

were running over so the started to use the floor would not go out side and set up a privy area.

they came here and did the same thing and at night when they came in the police had trash cans {many}

they would take weapons and drugs they were buying with the Fema credit cards LMAO

And were told not to arrest them those guys were pissed free pass for drugs guns and whatever.

our murder rate and every other crime went out of sight so I hope the new mayor tells them to go elsewhere.

because it cost Houston out the azz for that debacle.

WE saw the same thing here after Katrina. As a matter of fact, my neighbors 2 houses down in both directions are NO transplants that never went home. LOTS of them here, and our crime skyrocketed too.

Just found out that Gulfport is expecting 15-20ft surge... Sis-in-Law lives across street from water and is at 14ft... Niece also lives in flood area...

Are they gonna leave R4W? I'll be at work 100 miles north of here tomorrow playing beat the clock or I'd be able to get over to help them. FedEx is gonna try to kill us all before this thing gets here. Pretty sure I'll be here Wednesday though if they need a place to hole up for a bit, assuming it doesn't come in here.

I appreciate the offer, but they are headed further into town (north side). The whole family clan lives in the area. My wife is the only one who left. Well, cept her brother who went to the Phillipines. I guess hurricanes weren't exciting enough... So Typhoons and terrorists it is!

Anyway, it looks like you are going to have your hands full as well. Let us know if YOU need help. Like I said, we are just 150 miles up the road from you.

I was watching TV you know it's a damn shame that in this day and time that mayors

and governors have to go on the idiot box and beg people to get out of the way of

a train wreck it shows our school system is not teaching our children sh*t

and I will never understand people who were knee deep it sh*t literally or worse

dead bodies floating down the streets won't leave and because they do not own the place

sit on there azz and do nothing including leave town.

the shear stupidity of the human race make me want to do the Sam Kinison skit

GO TO WHERE THE DRY LAND IS AZZHOLE!

One thing that those idiots in New Orleans need to understand (yeah right) is that Katrina MISSED New Orleans. That’s right, it MISSED them. The BAD side of a storm is the North East side in the Gulf. They turn counter clockwise and the storm surge is pushed IN on the east side and out on the west side. What happened to them was that after the storm had passed it pushed Lake Pontchartrain over the dikes on the North side of town. This was rising water that came in slowly. If they get hit by a storm that makes land to the west the storm surge will be more like a tsunami!!

The dumba$$es let those idiots rebuild in those holes after Katrina and even a category 2 storm could do them in again. When you are 12 feet BELOW sea level even a 10 foot storm surge can be a monster. Sadly these people have already proven that they don’t have sense enough to pour pee out of a boot with the instructions written on the heal. They will be there again because they know that if they leave the looters will clean them out even if the storm doesn’t do it.

There were a lot of things about Katrina that were never talked about on national TV. They didn’t explain clearly that the reason for the slow response to help was because the FIRST responders were SHOT at and so pulled out until the National Guard could go in first and make it safe for the line crews and aid groups. They also never mentioned that a LOT of those bodies of dead had bullet holes in them.

I live in East Texas and I know several utility workers that were there and shot at. They pulled out but when they went back several days later they said it was like a war zone more than a disaster area. The looters are ready to do it again and this time they will probably be even more brazen because the cops that shot looters and people that shot at them ended up being prosecuted later.

If Isaac wipes them again maybe they will turn those damn holes into a Casino district. Put the parking lots on the bottom two floors and get the people out of there. At some point they are going to have to give up on a lot of the land in that place. It is sinking AND the water levels are slowly rising. If Katrina had come in to their west instead of their east it wouldn’t be a problem because all there would have been left was the concrete foundations of the elevated freeways.

They need to start building UP. The have building codes in LA that reflect their understanding that they will have earthquakes but New Orleans acts like they live in an area that couldn’t possibly flood. The dikes are there to hold back the water that is there ALL the time and is totally inadequate for use as a sea wall. Most of the dikes are actually NORTH of town! Watch and you will see what we are prepping for…Don’t expect the Government to do what is needed. They only do what is forced on them…
