Problems with ammo

Recommended Posts

Maybe is my area, but my local walmart is always out of 9mm,.45acp,5.56 nato, and I always

like to have new ammo on hand, when and if cash is available for it,milk and bread comes first, but damm, this is crazy, got in touch with Remington, they are working 24/7.

Ready, the Wally-Worlds around here did the same thing. But I asked if they had some more ammo in back. The guy at the counter told me they that have a lot back there and they were told to intentionally NOT keep the shelves stocked. So next time, ask. Maybe they do the same thing there as they do up here in the Socialist State of America.

Was at Outdoor World last week. They had no 9s. Guy at the gun counter said the govt gets first dibbs on them from the manufacturer and they have been out for quite some time because of it. Went to Walmart two weeks in a row...none. Finally my wife was at outdoor world yesterday and they had some. She grabbed quite a few boxes. She's awesome!

Excoastie, your not alone ,here in Miami is the same, besides the kids that work at Wally are not to well educated in firearms or ammo,I have ask for a specific grain, the send me to the rice and beans section.

The gun shops here are a bit expensive, and because of the economy some have close down, and others have a waiting list.

Readytogo I'm just north of you. Same issue. I try to stick with Bass Pro in Dania Beach or hit the wallyworld at 7 AM when nobody else is up.

Gap,I was told the same about the Gov,but the ammo situation is like crazy out there, some dealers have this european made junk,Russian,Bulgarian, etc, that I`m not willing to shoot.I have repairs to make to my house,so money for reloading is on hold for now,but everytime I`m at Wally W,will keep looking.

I know that the government bought something like 1.5 million rounds of 40, but I hadn’t heard anything about 9’s, too. I guess I’d better stock up and dust off that old reloading station that is sleeping on my workbench.

Ready, this phenomenon probably migrated down to Florida along with all the snowbird that vacates New England for Florida when the cold hits.
