excoastie 12 Report post Posted September 3, 2012 Wally, I fixed it! sent you PM.
excoastie 12 Report post Posted September 3, 2012 Tinder, okay, the two on the left, the red & teal, are both Damascus blades. The blue has stabilized buckeye burl handles and the red are stabilized maple. The other (blue and wood colored) is a spalted maple handle. It also has jimping on the spine of the blade for better handling when used to gut and process animals (deer). I would like a paracord sling for my Beowulf. It is a 50 cal on an AR frame. I know that will be difficult and time consuming. I can send the minimum length if you need it. Depending upon how long it takes you, we can pull off a fair trade. tinderwolf 11 Report post Posted September 14, 2012 Here is a picture of the knives I got today. Oooohh budddy excoastie! You really out did yourself sir. I have quite a few knives but these are by far the most beautiful ones that are in my collection. I really think I'm going to have to make a display box to put them in. Your attention to detail is incredible and the colors in the handle are amazing. And talk about sharp! I really couldn't have expected anymore if I ordered these from a catalog. As soon as you have another batch done please post pictures because to my wife's dismay I will probably have to order some more. Thanks again! Oh by the way I forgot to ask what the handles are made of?
excoastie 12 Report post Posted September 14, 2012 Wally, I am glad that you like it! I never know how the buyer will feel so it’s good to get positive feedback! Tinder, I think our little horse-trading went well for both of us. Your workmanship is excellent and the slings you made look great on my rifles. Thanks again! excoastie 12 Report post Posted September 14, 2012 Here you go, Jerry. If you want them larger, please send me your personal e-mail and I will send them to you. As is my habit, as soon as we are finsihed, I discard ALL personal information. I'd rather be safe than sorry!
excoastie 12 Report post Posted September 14, 2012 Here is the newest knife. Hey Tinder, does the blade look familiar? Side Note: I got this blade from my friend Tinderwolf. He can tell you that this is sharp and dangerous. I cut myself three times with this bad boy before I taped the entire blade. This is a really skinner and is fit for that job. I placed finger groves in all places where a hand would touch the wood and there’s a groove for one’s thumb, too. I think that the wood is elm but am not 100% positivie anymore. The wood looks like bone, but it is not bone.
