Of course I carry a liter of water with me anywhere I go and keep it filled often, just a simple deer park liter water bottle....

My EDC knife is a bessy 2 blade, I use this for every day cutting needs to keep the blade on my multi-tool sharp, (unable to provide pic of multitool since there is a 5 pic limit)

Sunglasses are a must as can be seen http://survivalcache.com/survival-sunglasses/ of course I had to include my grandfathers American flag he earned fighting for our country.

I always wear my paracord belt everywhere I go which combined with the load rated carabiner which is rated to 24/8-- 9 kn because I am on the second floor of a building with one staircase, if that becomes blocked I can rappel down the building. beyond that i can use paracord and a biner to create a pully to move things, make a tourniquet, build a raft, restrain a person, self protection, anything really.

I always carry a Zippo, the main reason for this is a zippo has a self contained area for tinder, the cotton used to hold the lighter fluid can be pulled out and combined with some chap stick will make an amazing fire starter and the wick will have enough lighter fluid on it for about 20 seconds, so this is really for that last chance fire if stuck in a building or something. My GHB has more lighters and fire starters in it but this is EDC!

Rubber gloves, this is in case any first aid needs to be done, added this after the earthquake in VA, if I have to treat people I want to remain safe.

The black square on my keychain is a one way breathing mask for performing CPR and keeping a barrier between me and the injured, in the case I keep 1 water purification tablet.

Flashlight, keep it on my keychain I feel this is self explanatory so I wont elaborate.

Multi-tool, this is ESSENTIAL in EDC use, you never know when you have to remove a screw, a bolt, or pull out some shrapnel, create cordage from old wires….who knows.

Wallet, this holds a few essentials, a topo map of my work with routes to get back home to avoid populated areas and get to some water sources (for opsec purposes I didn’t take pics of this) also holds a thin ”shatter proof” mirror that I can use for being spotted or communicating.

Watch- (not in pics due to 5 pic limit) is a standard winding pocket watch, why winding? With all the solar activity this year I want something that doesn’t require batteries to tell time, since you can use a watch to keep a general course heading http://www.learn-orienteering.org/old/nocompass1.html

Phone- Samsung conquer

Since it is winter the added EDC is my leather coat with hat and gloves, even if it isn’t cold enough to wear the hat and gloves I keep them with me just in case I have to skip the GHB and just start moving I want to be as prepared as possible.

I did not include my handgun since I work in a building that allows NO firearms of any kind, Its always close and fairly readily available but since it is not always on my person at work I did not include it so as to be as honest in the EDC title.

so the breakdown is as follows

knife

multi-tool

sunglasses

water

550 paracord belt

load rated biner

breathing mask

water purification tablet

miror

topo map with marked routes

gloves

zippo

flashlight

phone

winding pocket watch

Shadow, everything sounds great but the only thing I would add is to check your caribiner, I can't tell from the picture if it is a climbing one or not, pretty much anyone of those you pick up at a hardware store are not really meant for heavy load bearing purposes, just want you to check before you start repelling down a building =)

i find it hard to believe you EDC a Gamo pt80 or any gun for that matter since you are in school.... lets not forget EDC means EVERY day carry and if i know federal law, a firearm cant be on school grounds.... so its not even in your car during the week.

Well, its my EDC when not on school grounds, its always in the car, and whenever im not at school I have it on me. Good point though, i hadn't thought about that idea

    • This is a great inspiring article. I am pretty much pleased with your good work. You put really very helpful information.

    • here is the survival coupons codes to get a amazing material of survival struggling
    • Hey all, This is sort of cool (okay really cool) and maybe some of you have heard about it because it's been plastered over FOX and mentioned by POTUS as well as other conservative-leaning news people (Huckabee, Diamond/Silk, Candace Owens, Mark Levin, etc..) and politicians. #walkaway is a movement based mostly on social media. Started last year, by Brandon Straka (pronounced Strawk - like "straw" with a "k"). He's a former 2016 HRC-voting hair stylist, from NE, now in NYC, homosexual, liberal who began to question the MSM and what he was hearing. He got really frustrated as he began to do his own research. Anyway, after having his own awakening to the lies of MSM he had been following, he began an online testimonial campaign in which former liberals can post their #walkaway stories, written or video. Many are now on the "Trump Train." Many have simply left the Left. Still, others have always been non-Left and are members in support. The amazing thing is how many different people from all walks of life are beginning to wake up. Lots are not conservative on all issues, but all have a love for the USA and dislike the demonization of open political and social thinkers and speakers. This group gives solace to people scared to voice their conservative opinions or views for fear of negative professional or personal responses. It now has budding smaller groups in all 50 states and an online discussion group where people discuss current topics or issues (WITH no vitriol, gasp).  Here's the original video from Brandon.  www.youtube.com/watch?v=51UGcghHZsk This man, Brandon has a unique, stylish, well-articulated voice to help move people "in hiding" out into the open and not be silenced. Pretty much any video Brandon does is great. Here is the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/groups/OFFICIALwalkawaycampaign/ As I see fights erupt online, I simply leave #walkaway in the comments. Brandon has a goal of 1 million members! The liberal media has called this campaign "Russian Bots" and "paid actors." It's not!!!
    • thanks to all who  have served or are serving our great country....243 years in the making....   Trump did a good job today thanking each branch of our military and a long time coming salute to the coast guard too....
    • I can imagine food prices going up this Fall or Winter. Corn is used for live stock feed, & us humans consume a lot of corn based products, as well as corn based biofuel. I’ve been keeping a watchful eye on the mid-west of America, which is flooded by water. Where corn  & other crops are normally grown there. Farmers are quite worried about this years growing season. Time to stock up on extra food if you can, if you haven’t already. Stack it high, stack it deep. Store the foods that you normally eat. What ever the  amount of food you’ve stored,  try to double it if possible. Better extra safe, than sorry.
