ricksconnected 11 Report post Posted November 8, 2012 I have an ENO doublenest that I take with me everywhere. If it's a nice day I can pull out the hammock. My Clark North American goes with me camping, I don't sleep well on the ground anymore. why the clark over the ENO?

Danm 251 Report post Posted February 23, 2013 For the financially frugal you can buy cheep netting from walmart and sew it into a tube. You put it over the hammock and tie one end bundled onto your strap. On the other I use a bungie strap. This goes over your overhead line under your tarp and not only keeps the bugs off you from the top but also from the bottom. You can make it for a little of nothing and if you don't want to sew it you can always staple it on the hem. A hammock makes for good sleeping and is lighter and more easily packed than even a small tent and pad. I'm old and the ground seems a lot harder than it used to be! I can tuck just about everything, hammock straps, nylon tarp (that cost more than everything else actually), bug net and cover in something about like a gallon ziplock. onetime 39 Report post Posted December 29, 2016 there's no need to get out of the hammock in order to pee. :-) I made mine out of a monofilament gill net, folded back upon itself several times. It can feed me, if need be.
onetime 39 Report post Posted December 29, 2016 I use a hammock where I can, with a tarp cover. If there's nothing from which to suspend a hammock, I just roll up in my other gear and pop a timed release Ambien :-)
