  1. I've been looking into getting geese for meat and home protection. Here are some things I have learned from friends who have geese, and internet research: They are fairly easy to keep, They make great guard dogs you don't have to have a pond, and they make a delicious dinner! (However, I have not tried goose meat myself) What they need: a clean bucket of water a day to dunk their heads in/drink from a kiddie pool for paddling around in, grass for them to keep trimmed A fox-proof place to sleep at night, and some straw for bedding. Geese owners; Thoughts? Experience? Please share!
