    Here is a real american

Now I may not be christian, or really affiliated with any organized religion at all but this is a good post. While I have my many bones to pick with religion in general, (organized religion really) and while I may not believe everything written in the Bible, it is, nonetheless, a very good source for moral teachings. If nothing else it does teach wrong from right, to stand up for what you believe in, and that it is a good death to die fighting for what you believe in. It also teaches that through faith, (or with enough perseverance) that any obstacle can be overcome. Hell, in some ways it teaches a guy to think outside the box. The story of King David (i think) and the two mothers fighting over the baby. I am not religions, and the beliefs I have about God and spirituality are my own. Some of them are very paradoxical. While I may not be religious, or want other people's religions (or lack thereof) crammed down my throat, I think people should be allowed to read the Bible at school. I don't care what the kids read on their own time as long as it does not interfere with anther students life. The Bible ain't all bad in my book. It may have its inconsistencies or exaggerations, but it is not a bad book. If people want to teach their kids right from wrong, and how to be upstanding, moral individuals in life, by all means cite the Bible for reference.
