Don`t Forget the Inevitable is Comming.

I worked part time years ago blending lead to make #2 alloy for a local comm. reloading company. Melt 200 to 300 lbs a day on Sat. in a small shed (12 X 14 with window fan ventilation and have my blood tested several times no trace of lead......I believe it a good means to shoot alot for less. I have shot thousand of round thru 1911's 230 gr RN cast bullet, I keep several hundred lbs of #2 alloy for shooting. Does take that much to get started, alot cheaper than shoot jacket bullets, jacket bullet, primers, gun power cost have gone up. It takes me six hours to cast, size 500 230 gr r/n bullets............I will try to figure my cost

    Tracking

My great uncle always taught us to just set and listen to the woods and watch the animals........he believed that bring home food from the woods was just bonus of time spent in the outdoors. It has always amazed me what you can learn if you just look-listen-respect the outdoors. Learned animal track ID in Boy Scouts, tracking from Great Uncle.

    Remember when

I have bought gas for .32 9/10 .....Nehi soda .15 cents.. milk, eggs ,veg's and most meat came off the farm I was raised on ............Red Skelton, Jackie Gleason, were bigest hits on tv. Beer came in long neck bottles from a bootlegger (Dry County). Were we happier................No one was on welfare....we took care of our own.

What might be the end results if you can't or will not give up what they say you have...??? Of course this could never happen in American..................

    Help looking for a rifle

I have owned a mini 14 since 1982 lots of rounds thru this rifle, never had a problem, but having said this I also would opt for the ar 15 style rifle, mags easily available and parts.............ruger mags are expensive.

    Remington 1917 Pattern rifle question

I have a Remington model 30 in 30-06 that belonged to my Grandfather, very strong beefy action, I also have a Eddystone 30-06 in orginal military hardware, only thing I would recommend is getting a cock on opening bolt. My Remington has alway been a good shooter. Alot of the original 1917 pattern rifle have been sportized, don't see many in military issue.

    Quality or Quantity

I try to buy quality when it come to shoes or boots, firearms. Flea markets & yard sales are great places to get quality items at reduced cost. I believe buy the best you can afford..................I seen alot of friends and other try to skimp on quality and regret it later, when it could be a real problem....I have been on 8 to 10 day hunting trips and seen to many guys get pissed over failed low quality gear.
