  • Biography
I'm a backwoods country boy that believes in whole that survival is the ultimate human instinct regardless of what you may think, it comes into play throughout our daily lives and although my survivalist skills are in their infancy, I hope that by joining this site I can gain and absorb new and different ways of doing because I believe that the skills and traits associated with survival is a never ending quest! I'm currently active duty in the Navy and I couldn't be more wanting in knowing the skills needed to survive in today's world especially seeing where it's going from my point of view.

I've read that Chapstick will make for a good bug repellant. Well not so much a repellant...but it will keep them from skin contact and the plus is that it's cheap and very available

I'm gonna inventory my bug out bags to see if I really need all the stuff I have in them. They become pretty hefty and if the shtf, it would become a burden to have so much weight vs a more load bearing weight.

the canoe has been a blast and now i need to study the waterways where im at so that i can get a feel for a "backdoor" exit if the shtf. As far as the prep for the day goes the wife went through the closet and pulled out some older coats that we have since rotated through the bobs for better durability over what we had. Also our local walmart has started selling the mountain house meals in the sporting goods department so im gonna pick a couple of those up around payday.

    The long awaited return

At what point, if at all do you foresee the ammo inventory back on shelves at a normal capacity? Will prices have risen on the everyday caliber when and if they do see a comeback as a result of a lesson learned from politics?
