    I need an SKS!!!!

I know what you mean capt, i would like to get a old M1 30 cal carbine, my dad had one and was the first gun i ever deer hunted with, i loved that gun and my brother got it when he died, i've looked at some at gun shows but they wanted way to much for them upwards of 800.00 dollars. the one he had was a Iver Johnson shot great wasn't a loose part on it and had i don't know how meny 5,10, 30 round clips for ithe had 29 guns but thats the one he kept under his bed loaded for protection oh and his 1911 colt which my brother got too i got on my first pick a winchester model 100 red seal semi 308 but loved that 30 cal., but i have several sks's in different variations very dependable, easy to break down and parts are cheap and so is ammo

    I need an SKS!!!!

good luck, most sks gun sell for 215 up to 400 dollars now and most are found in gun shops, pawn shops and flea mkts and have gone way up since prepping started, i paid from 225 to 325 for my mine and have at least 200 more dollars in each one now, i saw some in a pawn shop in ky and the guy wanted 500 and up for them and they were still in their wooden stocks and 10 round fixed mags and i just laughed at him and walked out, but they are good dependable guns ,i love mine.

    Wpa ammo

i have shot alot through my sks's without a bit of problem, but i was also wondering about shooting them through my ar's i have a S&W and a DPMS and it says if you shoot foreign ammo through them it voids the warrenty and all the steel cased ammo is mostly made in russia or china

    High Point

i have not shot the carbines , i have looked at them they look cheap but if you carry a 9mm or 45cal pistol the a carbine in the same caliber would save on having to carry different ammo. i bought the 9mm just to keep in my bob in my work truck and to carry when i go jeep riding and i would rather pay that for a new gun than pay that for a used piece of junk, do wish they had a staggered clip

    High Point

i bought a c9 9mm for the price they are ok they come with two different site and i put the peep site on mine and it seems to work better , just line the yellow front site in the circle and its pretty accurate up to 15 to 20 yards. had a couple at a sporting goods store tell me his wife could hit a 3 inch circle from 50 yards with the 45 cal, she was good looking woman but , i was like right you mean 50 ft and he said no 50 yrds and i told him my son is on a swat team and he could do that with a cheap 200 dollar pistol!

yeah i have to agree with you guys, i have watched every show, liked seeing some of the ar's and ak's they built, but getting to be a soap opera, will is over bearing, steph is not that hot, chris is a idiot and vince has let it go to his head! liking american guns better! watched alot of the military channel and dish took it off my package those assholes

what about sks rifles for defense and hunting

look for sks at your local pawn shops too. but it hard to find ones in good condition, gun shows are really outragious on the prices

    Bows???

always go to a good sporting goods shop not wallyworld and get your equipment. have it set up for you, your draw length, draw weight, tuned and correct arrow length and weight and broadhead weight and design only way to get a good straight flight.

    Bows???

listen to everything warrior7r is telling you, i have bow hunted for 20 odd years and everything he has said to totally correct! i have shot Bear compounds and PSE compounds for years always felt like i was giving the deers a sporting chance and love the thrill of it! but what ever you do do not dry fire a bow. seen a friend pick up a bear compound while we were retrieving our arrows from a target and he dry fired it and wound up in the hospital with several pieces of fiberglass in his face and almost lost a eye the top limb shattered due to the stress and exploded in his face!

what about sks rifles for defense and hunting

yeah chinamart sold out of those were i live but only after i bought about 500 rounds, but i found a guy selling hollow points for about 8.00 a box and would buy about 100 rounds a payday just to stock up. yeah the days of 150.00 for a sks is over they are at least 225.00 to 350.00 now if they are any count

what about sks rifles for defense and hunting

i have three sks's and never had a problem with the firing pins and have shot over 1000 rounds through them. i have looked at switching them for ak-47 but i like the machined sks's over the stamped ak's they just feel and look so cheap i know their rep but the soviet block used the sks before the ak's
