EMP - what is effected and when

"Exciting read" is exactly why I haven't gotten all the way through it. I'm not reading it word for word but am gleaming it for the information it does have. I agree with you that a nuclear EMP is unlikely compared to a solar flare; however, an EMP is what it is no matter where it comes from. Enjoy the read!

EMP - what is effected and when

I managed to get a copy of "Report of the Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack". I haven't had a chance to read the whole thing yet but I put it in my Google Documents so I could share it with you all. Here is the link: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=explorer&chrome=true&srcid=11bgiWKjmFJsYlu5e0DJZmESxwctEqJS6QdSnVh1LzscEaEGvJZGJ4IVK8kkr&hl=en_US Here are a few related links I also saved in my Google Documents to share: https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=17kH5Iuyf0ieodtVSh6UDu8w_2nkyvTmjVj1l2Mao_DkA-QUdf1LDPf4t9z_z&hl=en

    Bugged Out of California

Move to DC is our decision but it has a lot to do with employers. Offers of doubling a salary is very enticing and the wife will get bumped from a GS-9 to a GS-12 (which also doubles her salary). The unfortunate thing is we'll most likely be living in a highrise condo building as apposed to a house as we are used to (poses some interesting challenges for our prepping that we haven't had to face before). It is a very nice area here, but coming from California...I'm still not used to the humidity. 80 degrees with 90% humidity is worse than what I'm used to (105+ degree dry heat).

    Bugged Out of California

Hello all! Have been a longtime SurvivalCache reader and figured it would benefit me to go ahead and join the fun on the forums. I've lived in different areas but I've spent most of my life living in California. After getting married, the wife and I decided to get the hell out of California so we transferred to South Carolina. Currently we live in the Beaufort/Hilton Head area but it looks like we'll be moving to D.C. sometime soon. I know it's not much of an intro, but figured I'd better say something instead of just popping up out of nowhere on some random thread.
